Forty-eight monthly salaries with six-month arrears have been so far paid to Ondo State workers by the recent administration.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu disclosed this at the flag off of the CA-COVID-19 Palliative Intervention in Akure.

Governor Akeredolu who said the six-month arrears was inherited from the immediate past administration pledged to continually prioritize the welfare of all workers in the state.

Describing CA-COVID-19 as the coalition set up against COVID-19 to cushion the effects of the dreaded virus, Governor Akeredolu promised to ensure fair and equitable distribution of the foodstuff.

Three beneficiaries, Omoyeni Iyabode, Adeyinka Ale and Moradeyo Oluwafemi appreciated the state government for the gesture adding that the food would go a long way to assist their families.

Items distributed included Sugar, rice, noodles, garri, spaghetti, salt, macaroni and loaves of bread.
