In a bid to rid Oyo State of crime and other social vices, Oyo State joint security task force, Operation Burst has apprehended two suspected armed robbers.

Parading the suspects at Operation Burst headquarters, Agodi Gate, Ibadan, Director-General of the task force, Retired Colonel Ajibola Oladipo said it was a combined effort of all security agents that made the arrest a success.

Rtd Col. Oladipo explained that the distress call received from the victim made them to swing into action.

Speaking, owner of the vehicle, Mr John Akiode said the armed robbers presented themselves as police officer which made the robbery to be easier.

Regretting their actions, the two suspects, Jimoh Salawu and Olawale Fakayode called for sympathy and promised never to go into the act again.
Item recovered from the suspects included a red Toyota corolla car.

Meanwhile, Oyo State Joint Security Task Force, Operation Burst promised to handover the suspects to Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Police for further investigation.
