The Ondo State Independent Electoral, ODIEC has issued certificates of return to the one hundred and ninety-nine newly councillors elected in the August 22 local government election.
Presenting the certificates, ODIEC Chairman, Professor Yomi Dinakin described their election as an avenue for sincere representation of their people at the wards level in this democratic era.
Prof Dinakin urged them not to betray the trust reposed in them through the ballots by the people.
On the remaining 4 undeclared councillorship seats, Prof Dinakin noted that a new date would be announced for the conduct of rerun election in the affected wards.
Some of the Councilors promised to follow democratic tenets and justify the confidence reposed in them by the electorate.
