The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a thirty-eight-year-old Arabic teacher, Ismaila Saheed and Twenty-year-old Toliha Sabith for defiling a fifteen-year-old girl at Mowe area of the state.
The suspects were apprehended following a report by the victim at Redeemed Camp police station that Toliha Sabith forcefully had carnal knowledge of her on the 25th of August this year.
The command’s Police Public Relations officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi in a statement said in an attempt to seek justice, the victim reported the matter to her Arabic and Islamic teacher, Ismaila Saheed who also raped her in the processing of trying to see if the incident had resulted into pregnancy after which he inserted a sharp object into her private part causing her a serious vaginal injury.
Upon the report, the DPO Redeemed Camp division, SP Bala Yakubu detailed his detectives to go after the two suspects and they were both apprehended on the 28th of August 2020 and the victim is currently admitted in a hospital for proper medical attention.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Ajogun has directed that the two suspects who he described as animals in human skin be transferred to anti-human trafficking and child labor unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and possible prosecutions.
