A team has been deployed from the Nigeria center for disease control, NCDC to support the implementation of COVID19 response activities funded by the World Bank REDISSE project in the federal capital territory and all 36 states in the country .
The NCDC disclosed this on Saturday via its official twitter handle.
It stated that, In Taraba state, the team supervised trainings for lab technicians on COVID19 testing and training, as well as, engagement of health workers and volunteers on COVID19 sample collection in the state.
Similarly, the NCDC disclosed that the team supported the training of private & public facility lab personnel on sample collection, packaging, storage, transportation, processing & use of PPE in Zamfara state.
The NCDC said, through the initiative, it had continued to provide technical support to individual states.
