Veteran actor, Chief Jimoh Aliu is dead.

The renowned artist, who hails from Ekiti State, passed away at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, EKSUTH this afternoon

Okemesi-Ekiti born actor cut his teeth in acting in 1959 after joining Akin Ogungbe Theatre Group, but later formed his own troupe, Jimoh Aliu Concert Party after exiting the former in 1966.

Chief Jimoh Aliu is famed for the Yoruba movie Arelu, and also featured in Yanpan Yarin, and Fopomoyo

He was a former President of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners.

Late Jimoh Aliu was aged 85.
