The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Bolaji Salami has read the riot act to all political parties in the state ahead of the October 10 governorship election.

This followed Wednesday’s bloody clash between supporters of the APC and the PDP in Oba Akoko in Akoko Southwest Local Government Area of the state.

However, meeting with leaders and representatives of political parties at the command’s headquarters in Akure, Mr Salami urged them to embrace violence free campaign.

The Police commissioner said full investigation had commenced into the Akoko incident, adding that all culprit found guilty will be brought to book.

He warned that the use of prohibited fire arms is not allowed during campaigns, and election proper.

Some representatives of different political parties present at the meeting also urge security operatives to be more proactive in curtailing excesses of politicians in the course of election.
