Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has advised the officers and men of the Nigeria Police, Ogun State Command not to harm or arrest citizens involved in the peaceful protests against the operations of F- SARS

In a statement in Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun said only those taking part in unlawful protests and vandalism of public properties should be brought to book accordingly. 

He called on the police to always ensure the safety of law abiding individuals and organisations involved in the peaceful protest, adding that it was the civic right of all citizens to make their grievances known through peaceful protests and demonstrations that would not foment  danger.

Governor Abiodun also explained that all people that were arrested during the protest should have access to legal representation and maintained that his administration would not condone infringement on the rights of any citizen.

Governor Abiodun, who noted that some unscrupulous elements took the advantage of the situation to vandalize State property, Police stations and vehicles, appealed to people of the state to desist from all acts of violence, destruction and vandalism.
