Deji of Akure kingdom makes passionate plea to youths

condemns killings at Lekki toll gate

Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade, Odundun II has made a passionate appeal to Nigerian youths not to engage in wanton destruction and burning of properties while pressing home their demands.

In a statement signed by the Monarch’s Chief Press Secretary, Adeyeye Michael, the Deji of Akure Kingdom admitted that Nigerian youths had the right to peacefully protest and demand for good governance as they have done in the last few days.

Oba Aladetoyinbo also condemned the killing of some youths at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday and other parts of the country.

Oba Aladetoyinbo condoled with families of those who lost their lives while demanding for a better Nigeria.

“Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade condemned the killing of innocent and harmless youths at the Lekki toll gate and other parts of the country”.

“His Majesty condoles with the families of these gallant youths who lost their lives in this tragic situation while demanding for a better life. They remain heroes and heroines of the struggle for a better Nigeria”.

The Monarch reemphasized the need for the youths to shun all forms of violence and attacks while raising their voice for a better life and responsive governance.
