Following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast, today, October 22, 2020 at 7pm, Media aide to the president, Bashir Ahmad wrote on twitter.

Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.

National security adviser, Babagana Monguno has earlier on Thursday said major actions would be taken soon, over the current insecurity in the country.

“I believe in the next couple of hours, Mr President will come up with certain solutions that will be agreeable to the entire federation, he had said.

There has been reports of lootings, vandalism, shootings and jailbreaks in parts of the country, in the aftermath of EndSARS protests.
