Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo State Council has appealed to the nation’s youth to sheath their swords and allow dialogue to prevail in their demands of finding a lasting solution to police brutality.

The Union said this in a statement issued in Ibadan by the state Acting Chairman, Alhaji Abolade Isiaka and state Secretary, Mr Olusegun Abatan.

According to the statement, the youth should refrain from vandalizing properties as this could equally create unemployment for the masses.

The pensioners advised the youths not to allow themselves to be used as instruments of destruction.

The Union commended Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for the way and manner he had been handling the #ENDSARS protests in the state.
