Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has appealed to Nigerians to use this year’s Eid-el Maolud celebration to pray fervently for the peaceful co-existence, stability and security of the country.
In his Eid el Maolud message, the governor reminded Nigerians that the holy Prophet Mohammed stood for peace and unity during his lifetime.
Governor Abiodun also urged Nigerian youths to remain law abiding and resist the temptation to be used as tools for wanton destruction.
While wishing Muslims a happy celebration, the governor urged them to rededicate themselves to the teachings and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet.
He also stressed the need for Nigerians to continue to observe social distancing and other COVID-19 safety protocols to further flatten the curve of the Pandemic in the State.
