Osun state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola says government will not watch and allow any individual or group to truncate peace of the State.

Governor Oyetola stated this in Osogbo during ‘a thank you visit by workers in appreciation of the recently approved new minimum wage for workers.

He said government was working hard to maintain peace and ensure that the state remains the most peaceful in the country warning that whoever was trying to disturb the peace would be dealt with.

Governor Oyetola who acknowledged workers’ gesture by showing appreciation to him, urged them to pay back by increasing productivity.

He noted that the State needs money to meet up with the financial obligation which can only be met by increased Internally Generated Revenue, IGR.

In a remark, the Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Mr Jacob Adekomi lauded the state government for the gesture, saying it would go a long way to enhance their productivity.

Mr Adekomi noted that workers in the state had been subjected to untold hardship in the recent time due to non-implementation of their promotion benefits.
