Normalcy has returned to some areas in Ibadan where hoodlums were having clashes over unknown issues.

The areas included Labo, Orita Aperin, Elekuro, Kosodo and Oranyan.

A source closed to the Oyo State Joint Security Task Force, code named “Operation Burst” said some hoodlums had been arrested and the outfit was determined to ensure that the areas remain calm.

Our correspondent who visited the areas said the residents refused to give out information on how the clash happened for the fear of reprisal attack.

Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi confirmed that an unidentified man lost his life to the fracas and a man was also arrested.

Mr Fadeyi said efforts had been made to ensure that the unrest became a thing of the past in the state.

He therefore called on residents of the areas to go about their lawful businesses without the fear of threat, terror or clashes as heavy presence of security personnel had been mounted in the areas.

It would be recalled that since four days ago, some alleged hoodlums had been clashing among themselves which led to death of a man and caused mayhem.
