Governments at all level have been challenged to address the lingering security crises bedeviling the nation so as to realise the desired development.

The cleric in charge of Region Eleven of the Gospel Faith Mission International, GOFAMINT, Pastor Ademola Akangbe gave the charge while assessing the security condition of Nigeria in the outgoing year.

Pastor Akangbe lamented incessant kidnaps and killings in the country attributing it to lack of the fear of God by perpetrators, weak policy implementation and high unemployment rate.

The cleric who stressed the need for Christians to intensify prayers for divine intervention on the restoration of peace also urged government to do the needful to strengthen the nation’s security system.

Pastor Akangbe who said God had been kind and merciful to Nigeria for surviving hurdles of the outgoing year, however, expressed optimism that the nation’s security situation would doubtless become better.
