A young man suspected to be one of the armed robbers terrorizing Amisu, Babasala Street and Oke Itunu axis of Ibadan was early this morning killed by a mob at Leventis bus stop.

Our correspondent who arrive the scene reported that the lifeless body of the suspected robber was left at the road median.

It was gathered that the suspect was stripped naked and stoned to death before the arrival of men of the Nigeria Police.

Radio Nigeria also learnt that the unsuccessful attempt to set the suspect ablaze attracted the attention of hundred of passers leading to temporary traffic along Sango-Mokola road.

When Radio Nigeria visited Amisu Street, where the suspected robber was apprehended, the chairman landlord association, who is also the Mogaji of Akinremi Clan in the area, Chief Saka Oladejo said two robbers came to the street but the vigilante group employed in the area were able to arrest one of them at 5 o clock in the morning while the other robber escaped.

Other landlord at Babasala Street who spoke to Radio Nigeria correspondent, explained that the area had become hot-spot for robbers who constantly attack residents.

They appealed to government to strengthen security in the area to forestall regular robbery attack.
