Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, Zone Eleven, Mr Oluyemi Agunbiade has called on people to shun the act of ethinicising criminality to avoid mayhem.

Mr Agunbiade stated this at the Oyo State Police Headquarters, Eleyele Ibadan during a familiarisation tour to the command.

He said the visit became imperative to address the security problems bedeviling the state.

Mr Agunbiade stated further that with the support of the public, the police was ready to tackle insecurity, irrespective of tribe, religion or culture.

In her address, the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko, who is the first female to hold the office in Oyo State, said she would further implement effective security strategies to ensure that the people of Oyo State sleep with both eyes closed.

Commissioner Onadeko, therefore pledged to work effectively with the people of Oyo State and also promised never to let them down as securing lives and property remains her priority.
