Oyo APC Factions Re-Unite
Factions in Oyo state All Progressives Congress, APC have held a Unity meeting and agreed to close ranks ahead of the revalidation of Membership exercise holding on Tuesday 2nd February
The meeting was called by the State Caretaker Chairman of the party, Chief Akin Oke with a view to resolving rancors and harmonize all factions to showcase that APC members in Oyo state are one indivisible family determined to make the party more virile and cohesive.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, Former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Alao-Akala said all rancour within the party have been addressed and expressed optimism that Oyo APC is rebranded.
On his part, Caretaker Chairman of APC in Oyo state, Chief Akin Oke who spoke on the strategies that brought the gladiators together at the meeting urged members to mobilize for the twelve days member’s registration and revalidation exercise.
In a reactions, APC governorship candidate in 2019, Chief Adebayo Adelabu expressed satisfaction on the outcome of the meeting and urged members to be more committed to the cause of the party.
Present at the meeting were former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Alao-Akala, APC Caretaker Chairman in Oyo State, Chief Akin Oke, Minister of Youths and Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare, former minister of Communications Mr Adebayo Shittu, APC governorship candidate in 2019, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Serving and past Lawmakers as well as groups that formed prominent factions such as Lamists, Senaco and Unity forum.
