The governor of Osun State, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola says the recruitment exercise for teachers in the state will be merit-driven.

Governor Oyetola gave the assurance in a speech during the inauguration and distribution of educational materials, sports equipment and other materials to pupils with special needs in primary and junior secondary schools at the warehouse of State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB.

He noted that the initiative of SUBEB to make provision for schools across the state, was a continuation of his administration’s efforts in building the capacity of young ones and posterity for a strong and prosperous state.

The governor explained that he had followed this up by responding swiftly and bridging the dearth of manpower in the sector through the commencement of the recruitment process for the appointment of more teachers.
