The Governor of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Oyetola has dissolved elected officials of local governments in the state.

Consequently, the governor directed all political office holders to vacate their offices and hand over the administration of their councils to the most senior personnel.

In a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, the dissolution follows the expiration of the tenure of the local government elected officials.

The outgoing officials came into office on the 5th of February 2018 through a parliamentary election conducted into the thirty constitutional local government, thirty six Local Council Development Areas and two Area Administrative offices.
