Persons Living with Disabilities, PLWDs, in Ondo State have called on Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to appoint more of their members into office in his second term. 

The chairman, Joint National Association of Persons Living with Disability, Ondo State Chapter, Mr Ewaoluwa Emmanuel made the call while speaking with Radio Nigeria in Akure.

Mr Emmanuel who congratulated Governor Akeredolu on his second term victory said he was the first governor to consider a large number of people with disabilities for both political appointment and employment. 

He appreciated the governor for recently employing thirty-five of its members into the civil service thereby removing them from the unemployment market and for always acceding to their requests. 

Mr Emmanuel appealed to Governor Akeredolu to assist in giving employment to person with disabilities as Special Assistant at the local government levels. 

He called on Governor Akeredolu to help some of his members secure employment in local governments across the state and also allow the board of agency for people with disabilities to run for four years.
