All the seven persons kidnapped along Ibokun-Osogbo road by unknown gunmen on Tuesday have been released.

The Nigeria Police, Osun State Command gave the information in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Mrs Yemisi Opalola.

Mrs Opalola explained that the rescued was achieved through frantic efforts of the police and all the collaborating security outfits.

She hinted that the Commissioner of Police, Mr Olawale Olokode appealed to members of the public to always assist the police with credible information that could lead to nipping crime in the bud as early as possible.

The statement did not disclose the identity of the abductors and whether ransom was paid to secure the release of the victims.

On Tuesday 2nd of this month, at about half past seven in the evening some commuters were reportedly intercepted along the Ibokun-Osogbo road and taken into the bush while one of them was killed in the process.
