Ogun state government says the first phase of the ongoing construction of Agro Cargo airport in Ilisan Remo will be completed in May 2022.
The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who stated this during an on the spot assessment of 2.3 kilometers access road to the Agro cargo airport, said that the proposal for the airport had all the necessary environmental impact assessment and other regulatory assessment.
Governor Abiodun explained that the decision of his administration to embark on the construction of the Agro Cargo airport was based on the economic development agenda of his administration to complement the agro value chain investments in the state.
The Governor also said that the construction of the Agro Cargo airport was in line with the vision of his administration towards creating enabling environment for investors and boosting agricultural sector in the state.
While pointing out that the 2.3 kilometre access road that link the airport to Iperu- Remo would be completed in the next two or three weeks, Governor Abiodun expressed satisfaction with the level of work done by the contractor handling the project.
