Gov. Makinde Visits Akinyele Market, Tasks Traders on Harmony
Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has promised the traders of the newly established Akinyele Market, a comfortable environment and infrastructure for the benefits of stakeholders in the market.
He gave the assurance when he paid a visit to the Akinyele perishable goods Market and Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority OYRTMA trailer pack situated at Akinyele area.
Addressing the traders, Governor Makinde enjoined them to live in harmony and go about their lawful businesses, noting that the state is open to anybody that respects the laws of the land, to contribute to the social economic of the state.
Earlier, the chairman of the market, Mallam Usman Yako thanked Governor Makinde for prompt intervention in settling the dispute, which occurred among traders at Shasha market recently.
He promised that the traders would be peaceful and adhere strictly with environmental law of the state.
It would be recalled that a dispute occurred recently between an indigene and settlers at the popular Shasha market leading to the newly established Akinyele market.
