The Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, Professor Jesse Otegbayo has called on Nigerians to receive the Covid-19 vaccine currently being administered as it is safe for the health.
He stated this immediately after receiving the vaccine in Ibadan.
Professor Otegbayo noted that the best way to curb and prevent the spread of any communicable disease was to be vaccinated.
In the same vein, the chief medical officer of health and director primary health care in Ibadan North Local Government Dr Monday Famakin has said the frontline workers would be the first to receive the vaccine in Oyo State.
Dr Famakin explained that the frontline workers such as medical workers, petrol attendants, security personnel among others were classified as the first beneficiaries.
