Police Beef Up Security Ahead Of Easter Celebrations
The Nigeria Police Force, Oyo state Command has deployed over five thousand officers to secure places of worship, recreation facilities and financial institutions during Easter celebrations.
This is contained in a statement signed in Ibadan by Police Public Relations officer, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi.
The statement notes that the deployment became necessary in view of the forthcoming Easter celebrations and enjoins residents to comply with COVID-19 protocols.
It further notes that the Commissioner of Police, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko, had put in place plans to put personnel in all entry and exit points as well as other parts of the State.
The statement assures residents that places of worship, recreation centres, financial institutions and other public facilities would be adequately protected.
It enjoins all Christian faithful to ensure that COVID-19 protocols are adhered to in various places of worship.
