As part of efforts in tackling insecurity, Nigerian  security and civil defence corps, NSCDC, has begun training of 200 personnel on installation of  close circuit camera television, CCTV, among personnel.

The Head of training of NSCDC, Oyo state command, Mr Olusola Omotayo said the training would entail installation, handling and how to communicate through a CCTV  within Oyo state.

Mr Omotayo said, with the innovation, fighting crime would be easier without physical stress, whether in the city or in the forest.


Declaring the training open, NSCDC commandant in Oyo state, Mr Iskilu Akinsanya said the programme became imperative as  part of the Federal governments efforts at nipping crime in the bud.

Mr Akinsanya said after the  CCTV training, security situation in the state would be greatly enhanced.

The NSCDC boss in the state added that the training would also be extended to all the 33 local government in the  state.
