Police Swing into Action to Rescue Doctor, Nurse Abducted in Ogun

Ogun State Police Command says helicopter and personnel have been deployed in search of a kidnapped medical doctor and the nurse.

The command’s Spokesman, Mr. Abímbólá Oyeyemi while giving update on the incident, confirmed the kidnap of the head of General Hospital, Imeko, Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State, Dr. Oladunni Odetola and a nurse Mrs. Bamgbose.

Odetola was abducted by unknown gunmen while driving along Abeokuta-Imeko road.

The police spokesman stated that no stone was being left unturned to ensure safe return of the victims.

Meanwhile, a text message has emanated from the colleagues of the victims mandating nurses to contribute five thousand naira each for the ransom to free the victims.

The text message indicated that the Director of Nursing Services gave the directive.
