Over two hundred thousand residents of Oyo State have benefitted from the free medical outreach programme organized by the state’s Ministry of Health in partnership with Omi Titun Free Medical Mission Outreach.

The programme, which kick-started from Ibarapa East Local Government Area of the state had patients with cataract, hernia, appendicitis, malaria,  blood pressure and dental challenges as beneficiaries.

At the closing of the twenty three days medical outreach programme, wife of the Oyo State Governor, Mrs Tamunominini Makinde, implored people of the state to prioritize their health and maintain a perfect healthy life.

Mrs Makinde said the free health programme was targeted at promoting healthy living to boost socio economic development. 

According to the Director, Secondary Health Care Outreach, Oyo State Ministry of Health, Dr Wale Falana, the programme had mostly captured the vulnerable in the society.

Commissioner for Health, Dr Bashir Bello said the programme, which had gone round various local governments in the state, would be done quarterly. 

Two beneficiaries, Mr Asimiyu Adekunle and Mrs Toyin Babalola, commended the organizers for the gesture.
