Senators representing various senatorial districts in Delta State have pledged to work to improve the living condition of the people despite party affiliations.

The Deputy President of the Senate representing Delta Central, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, stated this after inspecting ongoing work on the Asaba-Illah road in the outskirt of the state capital.

Senator Omo-Agege expressed satisfaction over the pace and quality of work done so far, saying the project was necessitated following the demand from leaders of the community for urgent intervention.

On what the senate is doing to douse the level of insecurity in the country, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege noted the situation was a global trend while, urging Nigerians to exercise patience on the new security leadership instigated by the senate to address the situation.

Also the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi in his remarks observed, aside the rehabilitation of the Asaba-Illah road, a project for the installation of five hundred electricity polls in the area was also contained in the 2020 budget.

Some residents of Illah community who commented on the development lauded the federal government for ongoing projects in the locality.
