Ogun State Police Command has arrested two robbery suspects at Olambe area of Akute, in Ifo local government area of Ogun state.
The suspects included a twenty 27 year old Lukman Olanrewanju and 28 year old Shola Alabi were apprehended after a report at Ajuwon divisional headquarters that the suspects had allegedly shot one commercial motorcyclist identified as Anas Usman and snatched his motorcycle during their operations.
Police Public Relations officer, Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a statement in Abeokuta
Mr. Oyeyemi said one cut to size locally made gun, two live cartridges and the snatched motorcycle were recovered while the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Edward Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.
