Muslims have been admonished to always remain submissive and obedient to Allah’s injunctions in all conditions to overcome socioeconomic challenges facing humanity.

A reknowned Islamic cleric, Sheik Muhydeen Ajani-Bello gave the admonition while delivering the 2021 Annual Ramadan Lecture organised by Awotan Central Mosque in collaboration with the Ansarudeen Society, Washington D.C., United States of America, held at the Mosque’s premises in Ibadan.

Sheik Ajani-Bello, who attributed the prevalent insecurity and criminal activities bedevilling Nigerians to wrongdoings of some unscrupulous citizens, urged Nigerians to refrain from sinful acts and embrace attitudinal change to enjoy Allah’s bountiful blessings.

The cleric, while calling on Nigerians in diaspora to instil indigenous cultural values in their children, advised them to contribute their quota to national development to change former President Trump’s narrative on Africa.

In a remark, the Chief Imam Awotan Central Mosque, Imam Abdullahi Adesina appreciated Allah and those who contributed to the success of the event.

The programme had several dignitaries in attendance including the Former Commissioner of Special Duties in Oyo State, who is also the Babasale Adinni of Awotan, Alhaji Lasisi Balogun, the Alawotan of Awotan, Oba Daud Omotoso and other Baales in Awotan and its environs.
