Police Foil Robbery Attempt in Osun

Nigeria Police Osun state command has foiled an attempted robbery along Akure/Ilesa road, at Iwara junction.

A statement by the command Public Relations Officer, Mrs Yemisi Opalola said the quick intervention of men of the command, JTF & other local security outfits foiled the attempted robbery by herdsmen.

The statement notes that motorists who abandoned their vehicles later returned after the arrival of the police and other security personnel.

The statement adds that the suspected herdsmen were prevented from carrying out their criminal activities, contrary to online reports that motorists were kidnapped.
