The Ooni of lfe, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi wants parents and guardians to nurture their children and wards properly to equip them with entrepreneurial skills in other to properly equip them for the future.

Oba Ogunwusi made the call while celebrating with children who payed him a visit in his palace from various schools in Ile-Ife and environs as part of activities marking this year’s children’s day.

The traditional ruler who congratulated the children, emphasized that it was expedient for the society to create a conducive environment for children to thrive in chosen careers.

Oba Ogunwusi appealed to parents and guardians to enroll their children and wards to for entrepreneurial studies to complement their academic pursuit.

The Ooni of Ile-Ife organized a workshop on how to make local fabric popularly known as Adire for the students with a view to educating them about the cultural and economic benefits of the textile.

Two participants, Master Abdullahi Adetoyese and Roseline Abiodun, described the workshop as an eye opener, noting that the event would linger long in their memory.
