In a bid to ensure a hitch-free Egungun festival, Oyo State government has read the riot act to those that are planning to disrupt the peace of the state to desist or face the full wrath of the law.

The Special Adviser to the governor on Security Matters, Mr Fatai Owoseni said this during a consultative meeting held with stakeholders at his office in Ibadan.

Mr Owoseni promised massive deployment of security personnel and non-state actors to raid hideouts of miscreants to ensure peace and tranquility during the Egungun festival.

In a remark, the Olubadan of Ibadan, represented by the Ekeefa Olubadan, High Chief Lekan Alabi at the meeting called for peace and orderliness during the outing of the Oloolu masquerade.

The Olubadan warned those planning to foment trouble to desist or face the full wrath of the law.

The event had in attendance the representative of Olubadan, Mogaji Oloolu, head of the Alagbaa, and the heads of all security agencies.
