Irate students in Ilaro have vandalised an Ogun State Fire Service vehicle while making efforts to put off a truck set on fire after an accident which killed a student in the town.
According to witnesses, the students in there hundreds trooped out to protest the death of their colleague by setting a cement haulage vehicle on fire around Sabo junction, Owode road in Ilaro Yewa South local government area after an accident.
The students who blocked the Fire fighter from getting to the burning vehicle prevented the fire officers from putting off the fire resulting to vandalisation of the fire fighter truck and total burning of the accident truck.
The combined team of security agencies including the Police, Federal Road Safety Corps and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in the town have since restored normalcy to the area while the body of the victim had since been deposited at the morgue.
