Oyo State Park Management System has called for investigation into alleged kidnap attempt on the Chairman Disciplinary Committee of the state PMS, Mr. Mukaila Lamidi popularly called Auxiliary at his office, Podo, Ibadan.

Speaking with newsmen in Ibadan, the General Secretary of the Oyo Park Management System, PMS, Oluwatomiwa Omolewa narrated how his men foiled what he called a kidnap attempt on the Chairman, Disciplinary Committee of the body, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi.

Mr. Omolewa who spoke in company of the Deputy Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the PMS, Alhaji Jimoh Tajudeen, said the PMS members suspected those who invaded its headquarters at Podo on Monday 28/6/2021 as they could not identify themselves as police.

According to him, the team claimed they came from Abuja which made them to reach out to the Police authorities in Oyo State to confirm if the team came from Eleyele State Headquarters.

He said since they did not see anyone from the Police Command, they suspected foul play and requested further details which they could not produce and dismissed their request to have Auxiliary follow them.

On whether the incident could have anything to do with the Iwo Road incident which claimed the life of Rahmon Azeez, the PMS Secretary said that the Police has already arrested suspects in that case and that none of the suspects confessed that they were sent by Auxiliary.

The PMS scribe said the PMS strongly suspected that some vested interests were behind the plot to kidnap Auxiliary and rope him into devilish agenda adding that the evil plot would not materialize because Auxiliary would continue to be on the side of the law.

It was reported on Monday that some suspected kidnappers had invaded the office of the PMS Podo, Ibadan in an unregistered car to kidnap Mukaila Lamidi also known as “Auxiliary”. Iyabo Adebisi
