Ogun State House of Assembly wants the Federal Government  to step up strategies at improving on the security of residents of border communities, across the country. 
Speaker,Mr Olakunle Oluomo stated this while commending the intervention of the Federal and State Governments for their efforts at securing the release of an activist and an indigene of Ogun State, Dr. Kunle Garb.

Mr Oluomo gave the remarks in his response to the presentation of a member representing Yewa North II State Constituency, Mr Wahab Haruna, who notified the Assembly of the recent release of the activist through  the intervention of relevant stakeholders. 

It would be recalled that Dr Garb was arrested and prosecuted by Benin Republic authority for allegedly resisting Benin’s encroachment on the Nigerian land at Igbokofi village in Yewa North Local Government area of the State.
