Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 45 year old man, Olaoluwa Jimoh for allegedly impregnating his own biological daughter.
The suspect was arrested on the 16th September, 2021 after his 19 year old daughter reported him at Ode Remo divisional headquarters.
The victim who told policemen that she had been living with her father for over two years after her mother got separated from the suspect, claimed that her father had repeatedly raped her and threatened to kill if she informed anyone.
Command’s Spokesman, Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the arrest of the suspect in a statement in Abeokuta.
Mr. Oyeyemi said the suspect confessed to crime, claiming that he was used by the devil.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Edward Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
