Three thousand, six hundred women groups in three local government areas of ogun state are to benefit from the federal government’s world bank assisted social intervention programme, Nigeria for women project, NFWP.

The selected women affinity groups are based in Odeda, Yewa north and Ijebu North East Local government areas of the state

The state project coordinator, Nigeria for women project, Mrs Bolanle Fadairo told Radio Nigeria in Abeokuta that the project was aimed at bringing women in business together into clusters of affinity groups to build their capacity on financial education, business skills, gender and life skills.

Mrs Fadairowho disclosed that a total of fifty four thousand beneficiaries would be captured in the three council areas encouraged the women to take advantage of the project to build their businesses.

The state project coordinator said efforts would also be targeted at helping the beneficiaries to build their self-esteem and sensitizing the stakeholders to ending social norms hindering the growth of women and their businesses.
