Deputy Speaker,Ogun State House of Assembly, Mr Akeem Balogun has renewed the commitment of the lawmakers to continue to formulate policies and legislations that will protect Girls from all form of violence. 

 The Deputy speaker made this known during the celebration of the international Day of the Girl child organized by  the Nigeria Association of Women Journalist,NAWOJ,  Ogun state chapter.   

Mr Balogun explained that the female Folks in recent time had been exposed to all forms of discrimination including child labour,Rape,Trafficking,among others.   Also speaking,the Guest Lecturer, Wife of the former Governor of Oyo state, Mrs Bukola Ladoja called on participants to make proper use of the digital technology to empower themselves to achieve a greater future.
 

Earlier in an address of welcome, the Ogun Nawoj Chairperson, Mrs Modupeola Shobukola said the association decided to celebrate the day to draw stakeholders attention to the challenges faced by Girl child.
