The deputy Governor of Osun state, Mr Benedict Alabi wants the Radio, Television, Theater and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria, RATTAWU, to make the welfare of its members a priority.

In a message to the 2021 award ceremony of the union in Osogbo, Mr Alabi explained that adequate protection and provision for the welfare of the members would facilitate efficiency and dedication.

Represented by Mr Niyi Akinromade, the deputy Governor promised to present the requests of the union to the state government for assistance.

Also some traditional rulers, top government functionaries heads of federal, state and private media houses in their good will messages congratulated RATTAWU and advised its members to continue to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

Earlier the Chairman, Osun state council of the union ,comrade  Isaac Akinsanya appreciate the members for their resilience and efforts at serving the people better irrespective of the various challenges.

Comrade Akinsanya solicited the assistance of the state government and the private sector towards taking RATTAWU to greater heights.

Highlights of the annual programme include presentation of award of excellence to distinguished personalities and members of the union including Mr Abayomi Adewale, Manager Programmes Gold FM, for his invaluable contributions to media development in the state.
