Broadcast media professionals have been advised to lift the bar of professionalism and ethics in the discharge of their duties to reflect their role as the fourth estate of the realm.

The outgoing Director of News and Current Affairs, Radio Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Station, Elder Adenrele Ajisefinni gave the advice while featuring on Straight Talk, an interview programme on Premier FM 93.5, Ibadan.

Elder Ajisefini explained that any broadcast media professional that will stand out on the job must exhibit passion and dedication to duty.

He said lack of discipline is gradually becoming a clog in the wheel of progress in the media profession, urging them to be more thorough while discharging their duties.

Elder Ajisefini also advised his subordinates in Radio Nigeria to keep the flag of professionalism flying.

The FRCN boss appreciated God for the grace to retire after thirty-five years of meritorious service in the civil service.
