Following the demise of the Olowu of Owu Kingdom in Abeokuta, Oba Adegboyega Dosunmu, Amororo the Second, the sound of Gbedu drums being used to welcome guests to the Owu Palace and entire Owu Community has momentarily stopped to mourn the passage of the king.

The demise of the Monarch which was announced by the State government led to the traditional drummers at the entrance of the Owu Palace to keep their drums sticks while the few persons at the palace were in sober mood.

As at noon on Wednesday condolence register was yet to be opened at the palace.

The Asipa of Owu kingdom, Chief Moruf Egbeyemi while speaking with newsmen said necessary arrangements were being be put in place following the demise of the king.

He noted that the Balogun of Owu Kingdom, former President Olusegun Obasanjo who has roles to play in the traditional burial rites of Owu king who is outside the country was being awaited for burial arrangements.
