Political office holders, religious leaders, members of the Anglican Church,  the academia, families, and friends of the Archbishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese, The Most Reverend Dr. Segun Okubadejo, converged on the Banquet Hall, Premier Hotel, Ibadan, for the launch of the book authored by the clergyman.

In their goodwill messages, the Special Adviser to Benue State Governor on Religious Matters, Mr. Blessed Omar, and Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Mr. Femi Agagu, lamented insecurity in the country and called for collaborative efforts to overcome the challenge.

Earlier in a welcome address, the Director of Communication and Public Relations Adviser of Diocese of Ibadan North Anglican Communion, Mr. Ademola Afolabi said the book was a vital tool as it would provide a roadmap in solving Nigeria’s problems.

Reviewing the book, former editor, The Punch Newspaper, Mr. Bola Bolawole said the author undauntedly addressed corruption, inflation, insecurity, infrastructural decay, moral decadence, joblessness, poverty, recycling of a visionless political class, and the need to fully explore and exploit Nigeria’s resources. 

Represented by the Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Owolabi Olakunlehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji said the book was timely in addressing Nigeria’s many problems.

In an interview, the Archbishop of Diocese of Ibadan North Anglican Communion, The Most Reverend Dr. Segun Okubadejo said the book, “Waste of Grace” was written in view of Nigeria’s persistent socioeconomic challenges that were not addressed by successive political administrations.
