Ogun State Police Command has arrested 4 suspected internet fraudsters over the murder of 20-year-old Alexander Uzoma.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspects were arrested after the mother of the victim, Ogechi Alexander report the incident at Adigbe Divisional Headquarters.

Mr Oyeyemi said the mother told the policemen that her son had not returned since he left to visit his friends who she claimed she does not know.

The command’s spokesman explained that the suspects Azeez Oyebanji Ayobami Adesina, Babatunde Owoseni and Balogun Sulaiman were apprehended after intelligence and technical investigation.

He said the suspects claimed that the deceased had visited them to learn about internet fraud, and after eating food, they all took a substance known as “Colorado” which made them to fall asleep.

Mr Oyeyemi noted that the suspects confessed to have dumped the deceased at Kuto Overhead bridge where the state health workers removed and buried him as an unidentified corpse.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Lanre Bankole has ordered that the investigating team to expedite action on the investigation and charge the case to court as soon as possible.
