Osun State Government commenced the construction of Olaiya Flyover in February this year, with a promise to complete it in nine months.

However, the project could not be completed at the set time and this had generated concerns and insinuations in some quarters.

While some people were insinuating poor job as contained in a report being circulated on social media, some motorists including Messers Bamidele Olusegun, Bayo Durosomo and Mayowa Ogunkeye expressed divergent views on the project.

Reacting, Osun State Commissioner for Works and Transportation, Mr Remi Omowaye said the contractor handling the project had a wide range of experience and was working relentlessly to ensure a quality job and speedy completion.

Mr Omowaye corroborated the view that more vehicular movements would be experienced during the festive period but stressed that an adequate plan was on the ground to prevent traffic congestion.

The commissioner urged motorists and other road users to cooperate with traffic managers for hitch-free traffic flow during and after the yuletide.
