One of the best measures for addressing insecurity in Nigeria is to give educational support to children from less privileged homes.

This was the submission of the Executive Director, Child Development and Concern Foundation, CDCF, Alhaji Iskil Yussuf at the 9th annual books presentation and award conferment of the foundation.

Alhaji Yussuf lamented the increasing number of out of school children, which he believed had led to the high rate of crimes in society.

Alhaji Yussuf said the desire to address the menace of out of school children, the Child Development and Concern Foundation had been giving educational support to indigent school children through payment of tuition fees, provisions of books and other necessary educational materials.

Chairman on the occasion, Alhaji Musiliu Adeleke called on the nation’s leaders to prioritize education to achieve a secured and developed society.

In their goodwill messages, Stakeholders at the event urged the indigent children to focus on their education to justify the investment on them.

The highlight of the programme was the symbolic presentation of textbooks and exercise books to some of the school children.
