Over Fifty Coalition groups have planned a one million match in Oyo State to drum support for the Presidential ambition of former Lagos State Governor, Senator Bola Tinubu.

Director General, Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, SABAT, Sir Patrick Olatunji stated this in Ibadan at the launching of Oyo State Chapter of SABAT, which is one of the groups championing tjhe presidential ambition of Senator Bola Tinubu

He said the one million match which will be held on 19th of January at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke-Ado, Ibadan is aimed at sensitizing Nigerians on the need to support Senator Tinubu to emerge President in next year’s election.

Sir Olatunji said the focus of the SABAT, which is an organisation of people of like minds is to mobilize Nigerians on the need to support the presidential ambition of Senator Tinubu .

” The primary aim of our gathering today is to galvanise the patriotic citizens of Nigeria on the need to encourage and support a man who advanced from embryonic state to big cork that inspires and encourages little cock to crow. A man that who through ardent of hard work has metamorphosed into the rock of Gibraltar in Nigerian political scene”.

SABAT Director General highlighted some of the achievements of Senator Tinubu while as the Governor of Lagos State and how he worked tirelessly to become the architect of modern Lagos State.
” He spearheaded the good governance that Lagos State is known for today. His achievements in education, health, transport, youth empowerment, revenue generations among others remain models for successive administrations in Lagos and other States. The man pioneered the creation of Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs in Nigeria as as he created 37 of such which led to his being challenged by the then President Olusegun Obasanjo “.

Sir Olatunji emphasized that it was hightime the Yorubas united on the ambition of Senator Tinubu as the man has what it takes to develop the country.
” Nobody can deny the fact that he is one of the best individuals today that can be trusted with governance of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at this crucial period of our lives.”

SABAT Director General urged Yorubas to put aside sentiments and individual differences while all should embrace the project of Tinubu for presidency.

” We lost the opportunity of Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief MKO Abiola, God is giving us another opportunity, let us make good of this in the interest of our nation and all of us. Tribalism and religion should be discarded and let us embrace patriotism. Our country must be developed. The wind of globalization is on now, we need an experienced and pragmatic leader to bail us out of the present and future effects of this on Nigeria. Let us put aside sentiments and individual differences and embrace the project of Asiwaju as our President come 2023.”
