Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi wants civil servants to prioritize their health and shun partisan politics.

Governor Fayemi stated this in Ado Ekiti at a get-together organised for the leadership of civil service in Ekiti State.

He decried that the health conditions of many civil servants were very not good, hence the need for them to embrace regular medical check-ups and eat quality food that could improve their health conditions.

Governor Fayemi tasked leadership of the various ministries, agencies, parastatals and commissions to be more proactive in order to move the state forward, noting that the limited resources in the state would not prevent the government from executing people-oriented projects.

He said his administration would not tolerate a situation where some workers would be busy playing politics instead of facing their jobs.

Earlier, the Ekiti State Head of Service, Mrs Peju Babafemi said the present administration had performed creditably in all sectors of the economy and appreciated Governor Fayemi for prioritising payment of salaries and workers welfare.

Also, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Olawale Fapohunda wants the female civil servants to key into the existing programmes put in place by the government to protect their rights and that of their children, especially the girl-child.

The get-together featured the presentation of gifts to the leadership of the civil service by Governor Kayode Fayemi.
